Englehart is a railway town located on the Ontario Northland main line. Railway buffs will enjoy seeing the old Temiskaming and Northern Ontario locomotive NO. 701, a CLC 4-6-2 steam engine, located in the downtown.
The Town has excellent walking trails where hikers and nature lovers can get out, enjoy the fresh air and experience the sights and sounds of wildlife. There is even a trail that connects to nearby Kap-Kig-Iwan Provincial Park, which itself is a nature lover’s Mecca.
Englehart offers excellent fishing with numerous lakes and rivers teeming with the favorites of anglers-walleye, trout, bass and northern pike.
