Auld Reekie Fishing

Auld Reekie Lodge is situated on Gowganda Lake. We offer you access to fifteen other lakes within the area that can be accessed either by portage from Gowganda Lake or by ATV. We offer the option of additional fly-in lakes within thirty minutes of our remote wilderness location. Fish for walleye, trophy pike, bass, lake trout and more.

Auld Reekie Hunting

Whether you are hunting for Moose, Black Bear or Grouse, the forest surrounding Gowganda with it’s old logging and mining roads, which penetrate deep into the forest, offer a hunting experience like no other. Northern Ontario is known for it’s abundant wildlife. Our Black Bear guide who boasts over 20 years experience pre-baits our sites and will transport you to the most active stand. Our success rate consistently exceeds 88% for the kill and 100% for sighting.

Auld Reekie ATVing

Hundreds of miles of ATV trails are easily accessible from Gowganda and Auld Reekie Lodge. Guided tours are available with local experienced guides to lead you to the marked and unmarked trails. Ride to high lands with vistas that include beautiful lakes. Ride the hills and valleys, explore old logging roads and survey some remaining stands of old growth forests.

ATV riders don't have to ride the same trails twice in a week and you can still get to the lodge in time for dinner.

Auld Reekie Snowmobiling

Centrally located between Shinning Tree and Elk Lake right on the A107C Trail in Northeastern Ontario. We offer the finest in accommodations, meals and service. Whether you stay with us and run day loops on our scenic groomed trails or just stop in for a hot lunch and warm up by the fire or an overnight stay with meals.
