Elk Lake Eco Centre
The Elk Lake Eco Centre is your four season destination for adventures, education, special functions and health and relaxation in Ontario’s Wilderness Region. From a great trails system for winter and summer activities, to perfect settings for weddings, family reunions and team building weekends - the experiences are always eventful at the Eco.
Regional Cuisine
The Centre also offers great regional cuisine prepared by an on-site chef. Nutritious meals and healthy breaks have become an important part of the event agenda as diet-conscious delegates demand more options. Our philosophy is threefold: locally sourced, lightly prepared, and simply delicious.
Accommodations
The Elk Lake Eco Centre is located right on the shores of the Montreal River. The Centre is intended to provide education about the area, great recreation experiences, and an all around relaxing vacation – in remote natural settings that will satisfy the needs of all groups and individuals.
Relaxation
The Centre consists of six luxurious chalets:
- Six well-appointed bedrooms, each with double bed
- Internet Access
- Work space for when you just have to work
- Kitchen facilities
- Satellite TV
- Electric fireplace
- Individual patio with an awe-inspiring view.
Recreation
Elk Lake Trails Association
The Elk Lake area is rich with an abundance of rugged, gravel and groomed trails that set out over historical rail beds, old forestry roads and maintained trail systems – in the prime boreal wilderness areas. Great for many outdoor adventures like hiking, biking, wildlife viewing and even great for ATVing around the Elk Lake and surrounding areas.
Motorcycle Stop In
The Centre is centrally located and is perfect for a riding getaway. Ride up into Elk Lake, take a few days to relax and reset before you head back on your way. It is a great starting point to some of the best windy and scenic roads in Canada.
Watersports
Elk Lake is located on the north end of the Lady Evelyn Smooth Water Park and is home to some of the finest fresh water canoe routes in the World.

Discover adventures that bring together the outdoors and let you experience it for one all-inclusive price. Watch for Moose crossings as you hike, bike or snowshoe the local trails. Make the Eco Centre your stop in on motorcycle and let the friendly staff help you with some health and relaxation before you continue your journey. Want to hit the water for some nice exercise, experience the Montreal River on canoe or kayak. Which can also be part of the Recreational Package.
Bringing together some team building, educational and leadership programs to help develop some of our youth and the future generation of the North. Mixing learning with fun is one of the Eco’s specialties.
