Pioneers are the greatest assets a community can have. They hold memories of the past, the history and the stories which bring our heritage to life for us which is greatly displayed in a variety of exhibits throughout the museum.
The Englehart & Area Historical Museum is the oldest and tallest building in Englehart as it was the original Englehart Public School building built in 1909. The museum has three floors and over 17,000 artifacts from prehistoric to early 20th century times.
The Exhibition Room And Gallery showcase regularly host changing art shows and other exhibits, including the works of local and area artists. The exhibits start the second week of May and run through November.
The official spring open house for the museum is Mothers Day. The museum is open from Tuesday thru Friday, from 10AM - 4PM until December. The museum is also open Saturday and Sunday, from 12PM-4PM. Closed on Mondays.
Join us the third weekend in November for our “Olde Tyme Christmas” where we feature local artists crafts and creations, along with a silent auction fund raiser for the museum.
