Shining Tree Camp
Shining Tree Camp is a housekeeping cottage situated in between Timmins and Sudbury, Ontario. It is easily accessible by paved highway but remote enough to provide you with a wonderful and peaceful Canadian wilderness vacation.
Fishing and Hunting
Join us at Shining Tree Camp and discover great fishing and hunting experiences in true wilderness. Shining Tree Lake has a variety of fish to satisfy everyone from families to serious pro's. The lake is over 5 miles long, and has miles of rugged shoreline, islands, and hidden bays to test your skills.
Shining Tree also has a variety of game to satisfy the avid hunter. If it's big game you're after, we have fall Black Bear or Moose hunting. We are located on the border of Ontario Wildlife Black Bear Hunting in Northern Ontario Management units 29 and 40. Unit 29 has an early archery season for moose, starting on mid September. We have our own Black Bear management unit of over 600 square kilometers. Let our guide put you on the trophy of a lifetime.
For the small game hunters, we also offer great Grouse (Ruffled and Spruce), Snowshoe Rabbits and Timberwolves hunting, - all of which can be taken on a small game license (seals must be purchased for wolves).
Snowmobiling in Shining Tree
During the winter, Shining Tree Camp caters to snowmobiler’s since we are situated directly on the TOP “C” trail, between Timmins and Sudbury. Looking for a place to stay? You have found it.

Catered Bear Hunt
- Full service guided hunt including meals, lodgning, bait, meat processing, tracking, skinning, two active bait sites, and more!

Do It Yourself Bear Hunt
- Based off of flat rate hunt fee. Hunters will rent cabins at a regular price. any boats or other camp equipment will also be rented at a regular rate. Cabins come with full kitchens.
